Found stuff in a house I'm renting.?

I just moved into a house that I'm renting. I found some stuff in the attic.....lots of stuff. I don't think there's anything there that I want, but I was wondering if I had any legal rights to the stuff in there to sell or donate it. I don't want to gery into any legal trouble.....
