Old Guitar Wont Get In Tune?

Usually I can tune a guitar fairly quickly. But recently I found my brothers old electric guitar in the attic and tried to tune it. It looks like its in physically good condition but i cant get it in tune! Is it possible that theres something wronge with the guitar or is it me! Ive been trying for like an hour, usually it takes me ike 5 min
